How to block a number Apple iPhone 7

There are two possibilities to block phone calls and messages on Apple iPhone 7, one being putting the Apple iPhone 7 on the do not disturb mode, which won’t allow any communication to get to the phone as long as it is in this mode, and blocking specific contacts.

How to block a number from calling you Apple iPhone 7

First of all, in order to block a specific number, it must be registered in the contact list. If that is not the case, then start by creating a contact with that phone number.

Then, go to Settings > Phone > Blocked.

Here, select add new to add a new number to the block list.

No communications from that phone number will be accepted by the phone anymore, use this to add as many contacts as you want to block on your Apple iPhone 7.

Do not disturb mode

Putting the phone in the do not disturb mode will prevent all communications from reaching the phone as long as it is in this mode, but can easily be changed.

To activate it, go to Settings > Do not disturb, and turn on manual, to put the phone right now in the do not disturb mode, and select scheduled, to setup some specific times when the phone should be in that mode. For example, use it if you have specific meetings during which the Apple iPhone 7 should be totally silent.
